Noida double murder case will be solved soon: DGP
Kanpur, May 21 (UNI) The assailants in the Noida double murder case, in which 14-year-old Arushi Talwar and domestic help were killed, will be identified soon, the Director General of Police Vikram Singh today said.
Mr Singh, who reviewed law and order situation in five district of Kanpur, told mediapersons that it would be too early to say any thing in the twin murder case as the investigations were in progress.
Appraising about the steps taken to curtail crime rate in the city, Mr Singh said the Inspector General of Police (IG) Kanpur Zone had assured qualitative improvement in law and order in the city within a fortnight. However, if any laxity was found, serious action would be taken against the defaulter.
When asked about yesterday's blast in Collectorganj police station, the DGP said instructions had been given to dispose of chemical explosives dumped in 'malkhana' within a week.
He further said serious action will be taken against heinous criminals, land mafias and others.
Mr Singh also instructed cricle officers to check cinema halls, multi complexes and other public places following terrorist threat of more blast incidents in UP.
However, the DGP expressed dissatisfaction over the law and order situation of Kanpur city and dehat districts and warned the officials to improve the same.
The secretary for Home Fateh Bahadur Singh also accompanied with the DGP.
