Heavy rainfall warning issued in Andaman
Port Blair, Apr 29 (UNI) The Indian Meteorological Department today issued a heavy rainfall warning for remote Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
IMD's Andaman unit incharge K C Das told UNI that heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 48 hours.
The IMD has also forecasted strong southeasterly and easterly wind of speed between 45&55 Km per hour.
He said rough to very rough seas is likely along and off the Andaman and Nicobar coast.
Meanwhile the Andaman and Nicobar Administration has hoisted distant warning signal No. II at all the ports of Port Blair.
