Capital punishment to one in murder case

Banka, Apr 29 (UNI) A fast track court today awarded death sentence to an accused and life term to seven others in a murder case.

Judge A S Chaudhary awarded capital punishment to one Shaukat Miyan and life sentence to seven others for murdering one Fida Hussain of Dahua village under Bausi police station area in the district on July eight, 2002.

However, nine others were acquitted for lack of evidence.

An FIR was lodged by the victim's father against all the 18 people involved in the murder.
