Ramco Systems launch of Ramco OnDemand ERP

Chennai, Feb 18 (UNI) Ramco Systems, a global provider of enterprise software and services, today announced the launch of 'Ramco OnDemand ERP', India's first full-fledged software-as-a-service ERP.

Addressing a press conference here, Vice-Chairman and MD, P R Venkatarama Raja said the product, a full-suite web enabled ERP, would be available for an affordable subscription and take care of all IT infrastructure, maintenance and support needs.

After the soft launch some time ago, Ramco OnDemand ERP had successfully won close to 1,000 users across multiple verticals that included auto components, discrete manufacturing, trading, distileries, electronics, textiles, chemicals and services, he said.

''Companies can now benefit from shortened implementation time (from months to weeks) and hence faster time to benefit,'' he said, adding that companies could now focus on their businesses, leaving the IT systems to Ramco.

Mr Raja said the product would come out of a very complex technology platform, that could not be duplicated by any other companies. This was a very powerful system that could handle 90 per cent of a user company's business, he said.

The product, which was developed in three years, was already popular as the company was getting an order a day, comprising about eight users. The company had proposed to get about 10,000 users in the next 18 months and the rate of subscription was fixed at an average of Rs 6,500 per user per month, he said.

The product would cater to the needs of fast growing businesses.

''The solution integrates multiple functions and systems into one solution and gives total visibility and control operations,'' he said.
