Congress leader held for selling spurious medicines
Jaunpur, Jan 25 (UNI) Congress Committee Unit president and his three aides have been arrested today for selling spurious medicines here.
Congress Committee unit president Jalaluddin, his three aides Mohammad Jilani, Danish and Harun were nabbed in a raid conducted at Jalaluddin's residence, Superintendent of Police Lalji Shukla said.
A haul of feighed medicines, drugs, equipments used in its manufacturing and promotional brouchers had been recovered from the site.
The Congress leader was running an unlicensed medicine shop.
A man stated to be a doctor had also been arrested and investigations were underway to verify his MBBS degree.
