DUJ hails CLB order nullifying transfer of UNI shares
New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) The Delhi Union of Journalists (DUJ) today welcomed the Company Law Board order nullifying the allotment of shares of the United News of India to Mediavest.
''The ruling is a vindication of the principled combination of the united struggle by its Joint Action Committee, with systemic petitioning in the courts and before the CLB,'' DUJ President S K Pande said.
''We salute the workers of UNI and call for an end to victimisation,'' he added.
On January 21, the CLB had declared null and void the sale of majority shares of the UNI to the Subhash Chandra-owned Mediavest, saying the entire deal suffered from lack of transparency.
