Icy winds cause mercury drop in MP
Bhopal, Jan 22 (UNI) Icy winds are causing chilling conditions to continue here and in most parts of Madhya Pradesh and the mercury remained at 1 degree Celsius for the second successive day at Naugaon in Bundelkhand region's Chhatarpur district.
Frost in the state's principal opium-producing district Mandsaur has also affected gram, coriander and betel leaf crops. The district administration issued a directive for damage assessment.
The world-renowned tourist destination Khajuraho recorded a low of 3.5 C while it was 7 C here.
