400 feet illicit timber seized in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 6 (UNI) Police claimed to have seized about 400 feet of illicit timber in Kashmir valley overnight.
On a specific information, the police raided the house of one Mohammad Abdullah at Mugalpora in frontier Kashmir district Kupwara and seized about 100 feet of illicit timber.
A case has been registered in the Police station Kupwara in this regard.
In another raid, forest officials seized 300 feet of illicit timber from Zirpora woods. The timber was being smuggled from the zirpora jungle. However, no one was arrested, the police said.
