Moderate rains in Shimla and adjoining areas
Shimla, Aug 12 (UNI) Moderate rains occurred in the capital and other adjoining areas of Himachal Pradesh today after a day's respite, the met sources said.
The rainfall took place in several parts of the state capital after a day's break yesterday, forcing people to scurry for shelter, the sources said.
Dense fog engulfed the town, reducing visibility to a few metres and making driving difficult on the roads here.
Night temperature of 17.8 degrees Celsius and a day temperature of 24.1 degrees was recorded here.
Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded maximum temperature of 33.5 and 33 degrees and a minimum temperature 22 and 19.4 degrees respectively.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded a night temperature of 10.7 degrees at night, the sources added.
