Virat Kohli Wins ICC ODI Player Of The Year Award Fourth Time
Virat Kohli, the spin of India's batting, won the ICC ODI Player of the Year award for the fourth time on Thursday. The international cricket governing body recognized Virat's record-breaking and match-winning performance during the World Cup 2023. Kohli had previously won this prestigious award in 2012, 2017, and 2018. Virat Kohli, who has become a synonym for records in cricket, is the first-ever cricket to clinch this award four times. Earlier, South Africa's batting sensation AB de Villiers held the record for the most number of ICC ODI Player awards with three trophies.
Virat Kohli recently completed his half-century of century going past the record of legend Sachin Tendulkar. India's number three batsman powered India with 765 runs in 11 innings during the World Cup. This year, Virat Kohli entertained the fans with his great batting skills notching 1377 runs from 27 ODIs at an average of 72.47, studded with six centuries.

The international cricket governing body also named Rachael Heyhoe Flint Award for ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year 2023. She won this award for the second time in a row for exceptional performances in top series including Ashes.
Australian captain Pat Cummins has been named winner of the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for the ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year 2023. While Australian batsman Usman Khawaja bagged the ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year award for 2023.
Sri Lanka's Chamari Athapaththu added the Women's T20I and ODI sides of the year awards to her kitty. She has been rewarded for her exceptional batting performances throughout the year The Sri Lanka top-order batter powered her side to a first bilateral series win against New Zealand.
