BCCI Confirms India Women vs Australia Women 3-Match ODI Series Ahead Of 2025 World Cup

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially released the schedule for the upcoming Australia Women's cricket tour of India, set to take place in September. The two sides will compete in a three-match ODI series, serving as a crucial warm-up ahead of the ICC Women's ODI World Cup. India is set to host the 50-over World Cup this year, scheduled from September 29 to October 26. However, the official fixtures for the World Cup are yet to be revealed.

The ODI series against Australia is expected to be a significant test for Harmanpreet Kaur and her team as they gear up for the marquee tournament. Prior to this, India Women are only scheduled to play England in a bilateral series starting later this month. That series will include five T20Is and three ODIs, scheduled between June 28 and July 22. Other than these two series, no additional international fixtures are currently lined up for the Indian Women's team either at home or overseas.

All three ODIs of the Australia series will be hosted at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, and each match will be played under lights with a 1:30 PM IST start time.

Australia Women's Tour of India - ODI Series Schedule:

September 14 - 1st ODI: 1:30 PM IST

September 17 - 2nd ODI: 1:30 PM IST

September 20 - 3rd ODI: 1:30 PM IST

In addition to the Women's series, the BCCI also released the schedules for the upcoming tours of the Australia A and South Africa A Men's teams to India.

Australia A will play two multi-day matches and three One-Day games. All multi-day matches will be played in Lucknow, while the One-Dayers are scheduled to take place in Kanpur.

September 16 to September 19 - 1st Multi-Day Match: Lucknow

September 23 to September 26 - 2nd Multi-Day Match: Lucknow

September 30 - 1st One-Day Match: Kanpur

October 3 - 2nd One-Day Match: Kanpur

October 5 - 3rd One-Day Match: Kanpur

Meanwhile, the South Africa A Men's team will tour India for two multi-day matches and a three-match One-Day series. The red-ball games will be hosted at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, while the white-ball games will be held in Bengaluru.
