Kiran Bedi is on a misson, wants a 'stable' govt in Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 16: Taking everybody by surprise by joining the BJP, former IPS officer Kiran Bedi said that 'new decisive leadership wiped out her aversion to politics.'

Speaking to reporters here, Bedi said that the people of Delhi have suffered for a year. "We have suffered for over a year now. It is time that Delhi gets a stable, sensitive government," she said. Making an indirect jibe at AAP, she added that 'whatever wrong has been committed in the past needs to be corrected.

Bedi joined the BJP on Thursday and said that she would contest the Delhi assembly elections but was not sure which constituency she would contest from. Though speculations are rife that she may be projected as the BJP's CM candidate for the assembly elections, she has said that she will be ready if such an offer is made.

Meanwhile, Bedi has even expressed her desire to contest against AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and said that she didn't care if she lost to him.

On the other hand, reacting to Bedi's inclusion in the BJP, Congress termed Bedi as an 'opportunist and said: "What is the guarantee she won't betray BJP."
