DMK Faces Fresh Alliance Challenge as VCK Hints at TVK Shift

Thirumavalavan, made remarks about actor-turned-politician Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) that have fuelled discussions of a possible political realignment.

The speculation began after Thirumavalavan said there would be "no obstacles" if leaders wished to move towards Vijay's political camp. The remark was widely interpreted as an indication that the VCK may not be ruling out future ties with the TVK.

The comments have put the DMK-led alliance under pressure at a time when Tamil Nadu's political landscape is undergoing significant changes. Vijay's entry into electoral politics through the TVK has already unsettled the traditional balance between the Dravidian parties and their allies.

Political observers believe the party's next move could have a significant impact on alliance calculations ahead of future elections in Tamil Nadu.
