Siya Goyal's Brother Under Police Lens, Claims She Wanted To Marry Ketan But Was Confused About Chetan

The investigation into the murder of Ketan Agarwal has taken a fresh turn, with police closely examining the role of Siya Goyal's brother, Sahil Goyal. While Sahil has not been named as an accused, investigators are looking into whether he knew about Siya's relationship with Chetan and chose not to reveal it to the family.

Sahil Says Siya Wanted To Marry Ketan

Speaking to news portal NewsDotz, Sahil Goyal said Siya had repeatedly told him that she wanted to marry Ketan Agarwal and did not wish to continue any relationship with Chetan.

"Siya told me that she wanted to spend her life with Ketan and didn't want anything to do with Chetan. She assured me that there was nothing between them," Sahil said.

According to him, he never informed his parents because Siya had convinced him that she and Chetan were only friends.

"She swore on her life that she would only marry Ketan and have no contact with Chetan. So, I did not tell anyone about Siya and Chetan," he added.

However, police sources claim the investigation has uncovered a different version. Investigators suspect Siya had expressed her unwillingness to marry Ketan and had shared this with Sahil. They are also examining whether Sahil knew about Siya's relationship with Chetan but chose to remain silent.

Brother Describes Wedding Preparations

Sahil maintained that Siya appeared excited about her upcoming wedding and was actively planning her future with Ketan.

"She spent hours planning her pre-wedding photoshoot with Ketan. She picked her favourite songs and locations for the shoot. She would discuss all this with Ketan for hours on video calls," he said.

He also claimed Siya was uncertain about her bond with Chetan and believed it was a phase rather than a serious relationship.

"She told me they were friends and that she enjoyed his company. She was confused about the nature of the relationship. I tried to explain to her that sometimes people confuse friendship for love, but it's okay. It happens at a young age. I did not tell anyone about it as she herself was not sure. And she told me she wanted to move ahead with Ketan."

Driver's Statement Adds New Twist

The investigation gained further momentum after the driver who took Siya to the airport for her scheduled pre-wedding photoshoot reportedly stated that Siya initially refused to travel, but Sahil allegedly insisted and made her get into the vehicle.

Investigators are also looking into Sahil's actions after Ketan's passport was allegedly torn before the couple's planned Bali trip. His conduct during these events is being examined alongside other evidence collected during the probe.

Police are attempting to determine whether Sahil had any role in planning the alleged murder or whether he withheld information despite being aware of developments leading up to the incident.

Police Continue Conspiracy Probe

Officials questioned Sahil for more than 10 hours on Monday and recorded his statement. Although he has not been named as an accused, investigators believe his testimony could be significant as they explore the possibility of a larger conspiracy behind the killing.

Ketan Agarwal was allegedly murdered at Lohagad Fort on June 18 by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan. Both Siya and Chetan are currently in police custody and have reportedly confessed to the crime as the investigation continues.
