Girl injured in celebratory firing in Delhi's Mongolpuri

New Delhi, Apr 18: A girl was injured when a bullet hit her during an alleged celebratory firing by youths at a marriage party procession in outer Delhi's Mongolpuri area, police said today.

The incident took place last evening when the girl, identified as Anjali, in her early 20s, was standing in the balcony of her residence on the second floor and the procession was passing by the area, police said.

She was rushed to a hospital and her condition is reported to be critical.

The police have registered a case in connection with the incident and one of the men who allegedly indulged in the celebratory firing has been identified, police said.
