Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan's latest post on about spending nearly two-and-a-half hours travelling just 31 kilometres in Bengaluru has once again brought the city's traffic problems into focus. The post drew widespread reactions from commuters, many of whom echoed his concerns over worsening congestion and road conditions.

Sharing his experience on X, he wrote, "31 km took 2 1/2 hours today. It is only becoming worse. Traffic, condition of roads, and poor discipline."

One user wrote, "Welcome to brand Bengaluru of Mr DKS . Now KBG is doing some galata let's see what he does ..... I have no hopes irrespective of the party in power."

Another commented, "This is because of Tech companies like you concentrating in Bangalore, as if no cities in South, making roads narrow, cost of living very high. Cost, Traffic & travel Time is creating health problems in young Indians reducing their life span."

A third user urged Gopalakrishnan to take a more active role in addressing civic issues, writing, "Don't just keep shares and bank balance in your account. Declare holiday 1-2 days for your employees and bring them to educate the low classes who occupy footpath, park road side block roads, report violations on their phones with help of local police in educational etc. Then see."

Another user said, "Dear Sir, People who are known and famous should highlight the situation so that authorities take a note of situation. I am sure nothing will happen on the ground but it gives some mileage."

Echoing the concerns of many IT professionals, one commenter wrote, "This is the same story for all IT people going to work @kris_sg sir. We waste lot of time, money and fuel on the road. It's not only lack of infrastructure but also IT companies asking people to come all 5 days when they can allow hybrid 2 to 3 days WFH. Can you pls consider?"

Another user questioned the circumstances of the journey, commenting, "where to where, time of travel, route, vehicle type , no. of PPL in vehicle ... was travel avoidable .,were alternatives modes of travel contemplated , you sufferred for no fault of and/ or brought the suffering upon yourselves ??"
