Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: Delhi Police Launches QR Code - Here's How It Will Help
The Delhi Police, under the leadership of Commissioner Sanjay Arora, has unveiled a QR Code initiative aimed at streamlining access to crucial instructions for Poll Day and Counting Day during the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, as reported by ANI.
Delhi Police Launches QR Code: How It Works

The QR Code will be strategically displayed across various locations, including advertisement materials, selfie-point standees, and polling stations, ensuring maximum visibility and accessibility. By scanning the QR Code with a smartphone, users will be redirected to a webpage hosting detailed election process guidelines.
Currently, this feature is available on the Delhi Police website. Previously, such instructions were distributed through printed handbooks or communicated during briefing sessions. The introduction of this technology ensures that officers can now access vital instructions anytime, simplifying the process and enhancing efficiency.
Delhi Police Launches QR Code: Objectives and Benefits
This forward-thinking initiative underscores the Delhi Police's dedication to integrating technology into election management. By ensuring quick and easy access to information, the measure promotes transparency, empowers officers of all ranks, and fosters awareness among the general public, as reported by ANI.
The move is seen as a significant step toward ensuring a fair, transparent, and lawful election process, aligning with the broader goals of efficient governance.
Chamber of Trade and Industry's Push for Voter Participation
Meanwhile, the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has announced a comprehensive election campaign to encourage 100% voter turnout among Delhi's business community. The initiative includes sending letters to over 700 business organizations, ranging from small market associations to industrial and transport bodies.
As an added incentive, the CTI plans to reward the top 10 markets with the highest voter turnout with special prizes, as reported by ANI.
Delhi Election: Key Details
The Delhi Assembly elections will be conducted in a single phase on February 5, with vote counting scheduled for February 8. A total of 699 candidates are contesting for 70 assembly seats.
In the previous two elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) dominated, securing 67 seats in 2015 and 62 seats in 2020, while the BJP won three and eight seats, respectively, as per media reports. The Congress, once in power for 15 consecutive years in Delhi, has struggled to regain its foothold, failing to secure a single seat in the last two elections.
This year's election promises to be a critical moment for all parties, as they vie for control in the nation's capital.
