Sheena Bora murder: Driver Shyam Rai turns approver

Mumbai, June 20: Indrani Mukherjea's former driver Shyam Rai was officially turned approver in the Sheena Bora murder case on Monday, June 20.

The CBI court on Monday officially made Rai an approver in the case. Meanwhile, Rai said that he would reveal everything before the court about his and other's role in Sheena Bora's murder.

The court told Rai that he must reveal everybody's role in the case. "You have to reveal all. Need complete truth of case," the judge said.

Meanwhile, Rai had told the court in May that he wished to turn approver in the case. He had then said that he wished to give more information and wanted to disclose certain truths with regards to the case.

Rai is said to have told the court he was present at spot where Sheena was killed. "I am aware about acts connected with commission of the offence; I was a participant in murder of Sheena Bora," Rai told the court.

Rai also told the court that Sheena was killed due to strangulation.

Rai was the first accused to be arrested in connection with the murder case in August 2015. He was the one who lead the cops to the site where Sheena's body was recovered.
