On Sunday, 16 November 2025, Mumbai's suburban railway network will undergo significant maintenance work. This will lead to a major megablock affecting the Central, Harbour, Trans-Harbour, and Western Railways. The maintenance will disrupt services for several hours, impacting both Up and Down trains with diversions and cancellations. Commuters are advised to plan ahead due to changes in train timings and routes.

The Central Line will experience a block between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar on the slow tracks from 10:55 am to 3:55 pm. During this period, Down slow trains leaving CSMT between 10:48 hrs and 15:45 hrs will be rerouted via the fast line until Vidyavihar. These trains will stop at select stations including Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla before returning to the slow track.

Harbour Line Services Affected

On the Harbour Line, services between Vashi and Panvel will be disrupted from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm. Up trains from Panvel to CSMT scheduled between 10:33 hrs and 15:49 hrs and Down trains from CSMT to Belapur/Panvel between 09:45 hrs and 15:12 hrs will be cancelled. To assist passengers during this time, special trains will run between CSMT and Vashi.

The Trans-Harbour Line will also face restrictions during the same hours as the Harbour Line. Services will operate only between Thane and Vashi/Nerul. Trains from Panvel to Thane scheduled between 11:02 hrs and 15:53 hrs, along with those from Thane to Panvel between 10:01 hrs and 15:20 hrs, will not run.

Western Railway Adjustments

Meanwhile, Western Railway has planned a five-hour Jumbo Block on the fast track from Ram Mandir to Borivali and Goregaon between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. Up fast services will switch to slow lines between Borivali and Andheri. Conversely, Down fast trains will use slow tracks from Andheri to Goregaon.

The Uran Line remains unaffected by these blocks and will function normally throughout the day. Passengers are encouraged to stay informed through announcements or real-time railway apps for updates on train operations.
