Siya Goyal Secretly Married Boyfriend Chetan After Engagement To Ketan Agarwal: Report

The investigation into the alleged murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal has taken a significant turn after fresh claims emerged that accused Siya Goyal had secretly married her boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, months before her scheduled wedding with Agarwal. Investigators are now examining whether the alleged marriage could become a key piece of evidence in the ongoing case.

Police sources said Goyal, 20, was engaged to 25-year-old Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal in February, with their wedding scheduled for November. However, the case took a shocking turn after Agarwal died after falling from a cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18. Investigators believe his death was the result of a planned conspiracy.

Police Verify Alleged Secret Marriage

According to sources, Pune Rural Police are looking into claims that Goyal and her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary secretly registered their marriage around four months ago at a local registrar's office.

Officials are verifying whether a marriage certificate was issued under the Special Marriage Act. If confirmed, the alleged marriage could raise legal questions over Goyal's engagement to Agarwal, which took place after the purported registration.

Investigators are also questioning two of Goyal's college friends who are believed to have signed as witnesses during the alleged marriage registration.

Deleted Instagram Photos Under Scanner

The investigation has also expanded into the accused couple's digital footprint. Police technical teams are attempting to recover deleted photographs from a private Instagram account that reportedly showed Goyal and Chaudhary wearing wedding garlands.

Authorities believe the images, if successfully retrieved, could help establish the timeline of the alleged marriage and strengthen the ongoing investigation.

Wedding Documents May Have Triggered Murder Plot

Sources said investigators suspect the alleged murder plan may have been accelerated after Agarwal's family asked Goyal to submit documents required for their planned destination wedding in Udaipur.

Police are now examining Chaudhary's financial transactions to determine whether any payment was made to a middleman in an attempt to bypass the mandatory public notice required under the Special Marriage Act and expedite the alleged marriage registration.

Both Goyal and Chaudhary are currently in judicial custody as the investigation continues.

Murder Investigation Continues

Ketan Agarwal, a businessman from Pune, reportedly met Siya Goyal through a family-arranged match. The couple got engaged in February, and preparations for their November wedding had already begun, including the booking of a hotel in Udaipur.

Days after Agarwal's death at Lohagad Fort, police arrested Goyal and Chaudhary. Investigators allege that Chaudhary followed Goyal and Agarwal to the fort and played a role in carrying out a pre-planned murder conspiracy.
