BDA Opens E-Auction For 175 Residential Sites In Bengaluru; Registrations Begin July 13

Those looking to buy a BDA-approved residential site in Bengaluru will soon have another opportunity, with the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) announcing its 13th e-auction of the year.

A total of 175 residential sites will be auctioned across several established BDA layouts. Online registration opens on July 13 and will remain open until July 27, while the e-auction will be conducted between July 28 and July 31.

The sites are located in Arkavathi Layout, Banashankari 6th Stage, Anjanapura Township, Sir M. Visvesvaraya Layout, Koramangala and BTM Layout. While Koramangala and BTM remain among Bengaluru's most premium residential areas, layouts such as Arkavathi and Sir M. Visvesvaraya have also seen steady demand from buyers looking for BDA-approved plots.

The reserve price varies depending on the location. In parts of Banashankari 6th Stage, the base price starts at ₹60,000 per square metre. Premium sites in Koramangala and Banaswadi have a reserve price of ₹1.40 lakh per square metre, while sites in BTM 4th Stage are priced at ₹1.30 lakh per square metre. In Arkavathi Layout, reserve prices range between ₹73,500 and ₹87,500 per square metre.

Anyone interested in bidding must pay an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹4 lakh for each site they wish to participate in.

Successful bidders will have to pay 25% of the final bid amount within the stipulated period. The remaining amount must be cleared within 45 days of receiving the allotment letter, in line with the auction conditions issued by the BDA.

BDA site auctions generally attract strong interest because the properties come with clear titles and are located in planned layouts. With sites on offer in both premium and fast-growing neighbourhoods, this auction is expected to draw attention from homebuyers as well as investors looking to secure residential land in Bengaluru.
