Mumbai Local Train Services Mega Block: Central, Western & Harbour Lines To Face Major Disruptions

Train passengers in Mumbai should note that several mega blocks will be in place this weekend on the Central Railway, Western Railway, and Harbour Line. These blocks are necessary for maintenance and repair work and may cause changes or cancellations in train services.

I. Central Railway - Sunday Block

A mega block will be carried out on the Up and Down slow lines between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Vidyavihar stations on Sunday from 10:55 am to 3:55 pm.

During this time:

a) Trains on the Down slow line leaving from CSMT between 10:48 am and 3:45 pm will run on the Down fast line between CSMT and Vidyavihar.
b) Local train services will not stop at Masjid, Sandhurst Road, Chinchpokli and Curry Road stations during the block hours.

II. Western Railway - Late Night Block

A block will be taken on the fast lines between Vasai Road and Vaitarna from Friday night to Saturday morning.

a) Up Fast Line: Block from 11:50 pm to 2:50 am

b) Down Fast Line: Block from 1:30 am to 4:30 am

III. Harbour Line - Sunday Block

On the Harbour Railway, a block will be in place on the Trans-Harbour route between Thane and Vashi/Nerul on Sunday from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm.

a) All train services on Up and Down routes between Thane and Vashi/Nerul/Panvel will remain cancelled during this period.

Passengers are advised to check train schedules before travelling and plan accordingly.
