Yogi Adityanath Compares UP Strength With BrahMos, Takes Swipe at Pakistan Economy

CM Yogi described the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile as a sign of India's military strength. He stressed that any attempt to attack the country's sovereignty would face a strong response. According to CM Yogi, bulldozers show public support for firm steps against crime, while BrahMos reflects the confidence of a secure India led by a stable Uttar Pradesh.

Highlighting economic growth, CM Yogi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for India's performance in recent years. CM Yogi said India is the fastest growing economy and added that Pakistan's economy cannot even match Uttar Pradesh's economy. The Chief Minister presented this contrast as proof of Uttar Pradesh's scale, opportunities and rising contribution to the national economy.

CM Yogi also spoke about law and order in Uttar Pradesh since 2017, claiming sharp improvement. Citing National Crime Records Bureau data, CM Yogi said 815 communal riots took place between 2012 and 2017, causing 192 deaths. CM Yogi asserted that there have been no communal riots in the state after 2017, linking this to stricter policing.

The Chief Minister highlighted Uttar Pradesh's growing role in defence production through the BrahMos project in Lucknow. The BrahMos missile manufacturing facility in Lucknow was inaugurated on May 11 last year. Developed under the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor, the plant was finished in just three and a half years, indicating efficient coordination between the state and defence industry.

According to CM Yogi, this defence corridor gives Uttar Pradesh a key place in high-value manufacturing. The BrahMos unit is a major project within the corridor and is expected to draw skilled jobs to Lucknow. CM Yogi framed such initiatives along with expressways and industrial parks as proof that the state's development pace has picked up meaningfully.

CM Yogi also targeted political rivals, especially Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, accusing opponents of treating religious issues as political chances. However, CM Yogi said that this is not their faith in reality but rather an opportunity, adding that while chanting the name of Shankaracharya Mukteshwaranand, he (Akhilesh) will start advocating for Ghazi.

"You will see. Because these people are opportunists. Remember when we had said in 2017 that we, in Ayodhya, along with the Deepotsav program, had moved forward with a plan for the development of Mathura and Vrindavan. A discussion had come, a general discussion had come, that in Mathura or Vrindavan, a high statue of Lord Krishna should be erected. They had announced that in Saifai, a statue of Duryodhan will be erected. Now, you think we are talking about Krishna, they are talking about Duryodhan," CM Yogi said.

"We are talking about Lord Ram, they are talking about Babur. We are talking about the great man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, they are advocating for Jinnah. So this is what I am saying," the Chief Minister said.

Lashing out further at Akhilesh Yadav, CM Yogi compared historical figures linked with Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. CM Yogi said Mahmud of Ghazni's nephew Masud Ghazi had committed the sin of making Gujarat's Somnath Temple impure. In Ayodhya, on the birthplace of Ram, he committed the first terrorist attack. And Maharaj Suhel Dev had punished this sinner."

"But Akhilesh Yadav opposes Maharaj Suhel Dev and congratulates Ghazi. Our government is proud of the fact that we have made Suhel Dev's monument in Prayagraj. In his name, our government made the first university in Azamgarh," he said.

Across the address, CM Yogi linked bulldozers, BrahMos, better law and order, defence manufacturing and historical figures to present a confident picture of Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi argued that strict action on crime, focus on heritage and rapid infrastructure growth together support stability in the state and strengthen India's wider economic and strategic position.
