Six more die in Pakistan's famine-hit region
Islamabad, Jan 24: At lease six more infants died due to malnutrition in famine-hit Thar area of Pakistan, raising the death toll to 47 in January.
Two newborn babies died due to premature births and malnutrition in Civil Hospital Mithi. One was 22 days old and the other born merely two days ago, The News International reported.

Meanwhile, two twin children and five-month old Shahnawaz and seven-day old Bashiran passed away in separate villages of Chachro.
Six deaths on Friday has raised the total number of children deaths in the prevailing month to 47.
The situation in drought-hit Thar is still grim as there has been no rainfall for the third consecutive year.
