Pakistani Mountaineer Sirbaz Khan Achieves Mount Everest Summit Without Oxygen
Another milestone was achieved by Sirbaz Khan, an accomplished mountaineer from Pakistan, as he successfully scaled Mount Everest without the use of supplementary oxygen, as reported by the local media platform Geo TV.
The summit of the world's tallest mountain was reached by Sirbaz Khan at 12:30 pm local time, marking him as only the second Pakistani to accomplish this feat without relying on oxygen.

Pakistani Mountaineer Sirbaz Khan Achieves Mount Everest
Previously, Khan had ascended the 8849-meter peak with the aid of bottled oxygen. The sole other individual in Pakistan to achieve this remarkable feat is mountaineer Sajid Sidpara. Adding to his list of accomplishments, Sirbaz Khan also attained the distinction of being the first Pakistani to conquer 11 peaks exceeding 8,000 meters in height without oxygen support.
In total, Khan has conquered 13 peaks of 8,000 meters, with only Annapurna and Kangchenjunga ascending with the assistance of oxygen. Plans to summit the Shishapangma peak, his 14th and final eight-thousander, were postponed earlier this year due to the refusal of Chinese authorities to open the mountain for climbing during the season.
Earlier this month, Sirbaz Khan became the first Pakistani to ascend over 10 of the world's 14 tallest summits. The Alpine Club of Pakistan, the nation's state-run mountaineering body, announced, "Khan stood atop the summit of 8,586-meter (28,169-ft) Kanchenjunga (Kangchenjunga), the world's third-highest peak, at 7 am (local time) on Saturday (0115GMT) with other members of a team."
Beginning his mountaineering journey at the age of just 24, Khan, who hails from the Hunza Valley of the northern Gilgit-Baltistan region, has exhibited remarkable prowess. Three years after commencing his mountaineering endeavours in 2016, he achieved the distinction of becoming the first Pakistani to summit Mount Lhotse, the world's fourth-highest mountain, standing at a towering height of 8,516 meters (27,940 feet). Notably, he achieved this feat without relying on supplementary oxygen.
Khan harbours ambitions of becoming the first Pakistani to conquer all 14 of the world's highest mountains, each surpassing 8,000 meters in height. He aims to accomplish this extraordinary feat by scaling Mount Makalu (situated on the border between Nepal and China's Tibet region) and Gasherbrum-1 (located in Kashmir).
