Pakistan: Belgian Woman Found On Street After Being Allegedly Raped For 5 Days
On August 14, Pakistan's 78th Independence Day, a 28-year-old Belgian woman was found on the streets of Islamabad with her hands tied, sparking a disturbing case that has led to the arrest of a suspect.
According to reports from Pakistani media, including Samaa TV, the woman alleged that she had been raped over five days by multiple men.

The police, alerted by nearby residents who discovered the woman abandoned on the street with her hands bound, promptly intervened and rescued her.
The woman informed authorities that she had been assaulted repeatedly over the course of five days. Preliminary investigations supported her account, leading to the arrest of a suspect named Tameezuddin.
Following her statement, the police took the woman to a hospital for a physical examination to assess her injuries.
Pakistan Today reported that Tameezuddin was arrested at his home by Aabpara police officers.
During interrogation, he claimed that the woman was mentally unstable and lacked personal identification and travel documents at the time of the incident.
The police are considering further searches of his residence to recover any of her belongings.
Tameezuddin is also set to undergo a medical examination at the same hospital where the victim is being treated as part of the ongoing investigation.
Dawn provided additional details, stating that police officials received information about a woman abandoned on the roadside in Sector G-6/1-3.
Upon arrival, the police found the young woman, who introduced herself as a Belgian citizen.
She claimed she had arrived in Islamabad six months ago and had been living with a man who allegedly raped her repeatedly.
However, when the police contacted the Belgian embassy, they were informed that there was no record of such an individual traveling to Pakistan.
The embassy then referred the police to the Netherlands mission, as the area she mentioned as her native region is near the border between both countries.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was also involved, but they too found no record of a Belgian woman with the given name having traveled to Pakistan.
The investigation continues as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the discovery of the victim.
