Kim Jong-un and Putin Plan to Meet in Russia to Discuss Weapons
Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un are all set to meet in Russia in September to discuss over supply of weapons ahead of the Ukraine War.

Reportedly, Kim will travel from Pyongyang, probably by armoured train, to Vladivostok on the Pacific Coast of Russia. There would be an exchange of ideas between the North Korean leader and Putin over military exercises.
The planned trip would come as Russia discusses joint military exercises with North Korea and after Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu had tried on a visit to North Korea to convince Pyongyang to sell artillery ammunition to Russia.
However, the White House did not respond to Putin and Kim Jong's meeting. The US has earlier warned that North Korea could provide more weapons to Russia as North Korea's forces invaded Ukraine in February 2022. However, the US accompanied by the European allies did not support the war and that Moscow calls a "special military operation".
White House national security spokesman John Kirby said on August 30 that the US was concerned that arms talks between the two countries were advancing.
Meanwhile Putin who was supposed to be a part of the G20 Summit has stepped back from being a part of the event. The Russian President himself called Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inform that he would not be a part of G20 as he would be busy with the Ukraine War.
However, a representative from the Russian government would take part in the G20 Summit.
