India Strikes Lahore Air Defence, Negates Pakistan's Escalation Attempt
After targeting nine terrorist bases under Operation Sindoor on Wednesday, India has neutralised Pakistani drone, missile attacks and targeted the air defence systems of Islamabad.

Ministry of Defence said that Pakistan attempted to engage a number of military targets in Northern and Western India, including Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uti-rlai, and Bhuj, using drones and missiles. These were neutralised by the
Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems.

India said that Pakistan has increased the intensity of its unprovoked firing across the Line of Control using Mortars and heavy calibre Artillery in areas in Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar and Rajouri sectors in Jammu and Kashmir. 16 civilians including three women and five children have been killed. "Here too, India was compelled to respond to bring Mortar and Artillery fire from Pakistan to a halt," the statement added.
However, the Indian Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to non-escalation, provided it is respected by the Pakistani military.
Military Strikes On 9 Terror Infrastructures
India, on Wednesday, launched Operation Sindoor as a retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack in Kashmir. 26 civilians, mostly Hindus, were shot dead by the terrorists.
In the air strikes carried out on nine terrorist infrastructures, the Indian armed forces killed over 80 terrorist,s including 10 members of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar.
