How Canadians React To Trudeau's Decision To Expel Indian Diplomat?
The decision to expel an Indian diplomat by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been criticized by netizens in Canada.
Canada has expelled the diplomat as it was investigating what Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called "credible allegations" of the involvement of "agents of the Indian government" in the killing of a Sikh extremist leader in Surrey in June.

Hardeep Singh Nijjar was the chief of the banned Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) and one of India's most-wanted terrorists who carried a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head. He was shot dead by two unidentified gunmen outside a gurdwara in Surrey in the western Canadian province of British Columbia.

"Over the past number of weeks, Canadian security agencies have been actively pursuing credible allegations of a potential link between agents of the Government of India and the killing of a Canadian citizen, Hardeep Singh Nijjar," Trudeau said Monday in a speech to the House of Commons.
However, his decision to expel the Indian diplomat has been slammed by his own countrymen.
Journalist Daniel Bordman has expressed his shock over the development. On X (formerly X), he said, "To expel an Indian diplomat based on an internal report (In a fucking ongoing investigation!!!) that has a "potential" that Indian government was involved in the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar is insane. Absolutely bat shit insane behaviour form Trudeau and CO," he wrote.
The Indian government has long accused Canada of harbouring Khalistani extremists, dating back to the bombing of Air India Flight 182 in 1985. Inderjit Singh Reyat, the sole convicted plotter, was responsible for the deaths of 329 people aboard.

"This is a government that has a history of taking drastic actions based on an intelligence report based on a retracted CBC article, so forgive me for pointing out that no one in the international community is going to give us the benefit of the doubt," he stated.
An army veteran named Pierre has slammed the Canada Prime Minister and said, "Trudeau is a well-known terrorist lover."
Our polling numbers are at all-time lows, so I need to create a new crisis to distract Canadians.

Thats why my Government is suddenly making a big deal about #Indias ties to the killing of a Sikh man earlier this year.

Another user spoke about Trudeau's impulsive action and said, "This will cost huge to India-Canada relations. India is a growing power and I don't think ally countries will side (with) Canada on these allegations."
Some accused him of trying to divert attention from the country's internal issues. A user said, "Sounds like a distraction to me. I wonder why." "Diversion Tactics," said one Maddy.
Another user claimed, "He doesn't even need to be lying or attacking the opposition on what he does much worse him for his cadence in how he talks just making me want to break his face."

The Canadian foreign minister's office identified the expelled Indian diplomat as Pavan Kumar Rai, the head of India's foreign intelligence agency in Canada, the Toronto Star newspaper reported.
Trudeau has briefed the leaders of some of Canada's closest allies about the case, including US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and French President Emmanuel Macron, CBC News reported citing a senior government source.
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said Canadian citizens 'must be safe from extrajudicial killings'. "Canadians deserve to be protected on Canadian soil. We call on the Indian government to act with utmost transparency as authorities investigate this murder. The truth must come out," Poilievre said. New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh said that he'd use 'every tool' at his disposal to 'bring those responsible to justice'.
In a tit-for-tat move, India announced the expulsion of a senior Canadian diplomat.
Canadian High Commissioner to India Cameron MacKay was summoned to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and informed about the decision to expel the senior Canadian diplomat.
