Bihar IT Industry Meet 2026: Global Tech Giants Express Strong Interest in Investing in Bihar

Bihar is positioning itself as a major technology destination, highlighted by the Bihar IT Industry Meet 2026. The event showcased the Bihar IT Policy 2024 and GCC Policy 2026, emphasising investment opportunities, skilled talent, and investor-friendly governance. Global companies explored GCCs, AI, data centres, and IT park collaborations to drive growth.

Bihar is steadily emerging as one of India's most promising technology destinations, with several leading global technology companies expressing strong interest in investing in the state during the Bihar IT Industry Meet 2026 held in Bengaluru.

Organised by the Information Technology Department, Government of Bihar, the event brought together top national and international technology companies, Global Capability Centre (GCC) leaders, startups, venture capital firms, and industry experts for strategic discussions aimed at positioning Bihar as a major player in India's fast-growing digital economy.

The meet focused on attracting investments, building long-term partnerships with global technology companies, and showcasing Bihar's rapidly evolving digital ecosystem and investor-friendly policy framework. Addressing the gathering, Information Technology Minister Nitish Mishra said the state's vision goes beyond attracting investments. He emphasized that the government is committed to creating a vibrant technology ecosystem where innovation, industry, and young talent can grow together.

He highlighted that the Bihar IT Policy 2024 and the Bihar Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy 2026 are key initiatives designed to attract large-scale investments, generate high-quality employment opportunities, and establish Bihar as an emerging technology hub on the global map.

The minister also underlined the state's business-friendly environment, citing ease of doing business, a single-window clearance system, investment incentives, skill development initiatives, and rapidly expanding industrial and digital infrastructure. He reiterated that the government is actively working to position Bihar as a national leader in IT & ITeS, Global Capability Centres (GCCs), Artificial Intelligence (AI), data centres, electronics, deep-tech, and digital services.

During the event, Information Technology Department Secretary Abhay Kumar Singh held a series of one-on-one meetings with senior executives from leading global companies. Discussions with Quess Corp focused on employment generation, skill development, and technology collaboration, while meetings with representatives from Adobe, Mercedes-Benz, XLR Partners, and Brandscapes Worldwide explored opportunities for digital investments, research and innovation, and the establishment of Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in Bihar.

The secretary also presented a comprehensive overview of the Bihar IT Policy 2024 and the Bihar GCC Policy 2026, highlighting the state's investment opportunities, industry-friendly policies, strong digital infrastructure, skilled workforce, and transparent governance.

He said Bihar is rapidly becoming a preferred investment destination, supported by a large pool of young talent and the government's clear commitment to creating a business-friendly ecosystem. He added that the state remains focused on maintaining sustained engagement with industry stakeholders while ensuring a transparent, competitive, and investor-centric environment.

The conference also featured extensive interactions with senior representatives from Quess Corp, Honeywell, Adobe, Mphasis, Oracle, Salesforce, Razorpay, MyGate, NetApp, Trend Micro, Tejas Networks, RuralShores Business Services, and Quodeck.ai. Discussions covered potential collaborations in establishing Global Capability Centres (GCCs), IT parks, software engineering, AI-driven solutions, electronics manufacturing, startup ecosystem development, research and innovation, and skill development.

Industry leaders appreciated the Bihar government's progressive industrial and technology policies, investment promotion initiatives, and rapidly expanding digital ecosystem. They acknowledged the state's young talent pool, growing technological capabilities, and investor-friendly policy environment, expressing strong interest in building long-term partnerships and exploring investment opportunities.
