Hezbollah Strikes Israel, Biden Tells Iran To 'Stand Down' Amid Rising Tensions In Middle East
Tensions in the Middle East have skyrocketed following the killing of Hamas' political chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets at Israel, specifically targeting Moshav Beit Hillel, injuring civilians.

This attack was framed as a retaliation for Israeli strikes on Kfar Kela, Deir Siriane in Lebanon, and the killing of Fuad Shukr, a senior Hezbollah military commander, in Beirut.
In response, Israel's Iron Dome system intercepted most of the rockets, although some caused fires near Beit Hillel.
The U.S., expressing concern over the situation, has increased its military presence in the region, deploying an aircraft carrier strike group, missile defense systems, and additional fighter squadrons to protect its personnel and support Israel.
Amid these rising tensions, U.S. President Joe Biden expressed hope that Iran, which is believed to be behind Hezbollah's actions, would "stand down."
The U.S. Embassy in Beirut and other nations have advised their citizens to leave Lebanon due to the heightened risk of a regional war.
Meanwhile, Iran has suggested that Hezbollah may expand its attacks to targets deeper inside Israel, escalating the conflict beyond military objectives.
The situation remains volatile, with ongoing exchanges of fire between Israel and Hezbollah, including an Israeli drone strike that killed a prominent Hezbollah operative in southern Lebanon.
Diplomatic efforts are ongoing, with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussing the need for restraint with his French and British counterparts. However, the situation remains precarious, with fears of a broader conflict involving multiple countries in the region.
