Beyoncé Joins Kamala Harris' Rally In Texas, Adds Star Power To Democrats' Campaign
With just 11 days remaining until the US presidential election, pop sensation Beyoncé joined Democratic candidate Kamala Harris at a rally in Houston.
Speaking on stage in her hometown, Beyoncé stated that she was not there in her capacity as a celebrity but as a concerned mother.

"I'm not here as a politician. I'm here as a mother. A mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in," she said.
Her mother, Tina Knowles, introduced the pop star, who walked onto the stage alongside Kelly Rowland, a former member of Destiny's Child.
"It's time to sing a new song," Beyoncé told the crowd. "A song that began 248 years ago. The old notes of downfall, discord, despair no longer resonate."
She went on to say, "Our moment is now. It's time for America to sing a new song. Our voices sing a chorus of unity."
Beyoncé then welcomed Kamala Harris to the stage.
Beyoncé's appearance at Harris' rally ended months of speculation over whether the singer would publicly endorse the Democratic candidate.
It was reported that Beyoncé had given permission for Harris's campaign to use her song, "Freedom," which centres on Black women's empowerment and has become an anthem for Harris's 2024 campaign. The 2016 track "Freedom" was also featured in Harris's first campaign video ad.
