12-year-old Pakistani girl raped, burnt to death
Karachi, Mar 30: In a gruesome incident, a 12- year-old girl was raped and burnt to death in Pakistan's southern Sindh province. According to details the incident took place in Daharki town in Ghotki district last weekend.
"Three men first drugged her, raped her and then poured petrol on her and set her on fire," the girl's 40-year-old mother told local media. [Girl gangraped, boyfriend beaten up in Telangana]

The mother who was also drugged and beaten and spoke for the first time after gaining consciousness on Sunday. She said she and her daughter stitched and sold sheets for a living and were pursued by three men under the pretence of wanting to purchase their products.
"They drugged my daughter after offering her tea and the three men than raped her and set her on fire," she said.
The victim's brother filed a petition at the Ghotki sessions court today upon the police's refusal to register the case. The court has taken notice of the incident and has ordered the victim's mother to record her statement.
Daharki is notorious for honour killings in Sindh and even has a graveyard where unnamed victims are buried without being given any proper funeral and their relatives are also ordered not to visit their graves.
