Barabanki Storm Causes Tin Shed Collapse, Resulting in Death of Woman and Nephew

A tragic incident occurred in a village school in Uttar Pradesh, where a woman and her young nephew lost their lives. Her son was also severely injured when a tin shed collapsed during a storm. The district experienced strong winds and rain, leading to the collapse of the structure, according to police reports.

Vishnulal's wife, Phoolmati, aged 40, along with their 22-year-old son Rahul and her six-year-old nephew Dhruv, sought refuge under the tin shed at Baba Bihari Das Memorial School. They were in the fields for irrigation when the storm hit. Unfortunately, the shed's pillars were uprooted by the gusty winds, causing it to fall on them.

Storm Causes Fatal Collapse

The collapse trapped all three individuals beneath the debris. Villagers rushed to help after hearing cries for assistance. Despite their efforts, Phoolmati and Dhruv could not be saved. Rahul sustained serious injuries and was taken to the district hospital for medical care.

Santosh Kumar Singh, Station House Officer of Zaidpur, confirmed that the incident resulted from the tin shed's pillars being uprooted by the storm. He mentioned that the local administration is providing all necessary support to the bereaved family during this difficult time.

The community is deeply affected by this unfortunate event. The sudden loss of life has left many in shock and mourning. Efforts are underway to ensure that such incidents do not occur again in the future.
