Viral fever keeps Rahul Gandhi away from Congress Working Committee
AICC vice President Rahul Gandhi will not be part of Congress Working Committee meet on Tuesday. As the party deals with a crisis over Rajya Sabha elections and cross voting in Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi is said to be down with viral fever.

The key meet ahead of independence day was conveyed to discuss and adopt a resolution 75th anniversary of the Quit India movement. Rahul Gandhi, who is said to be unwell, will give the key event a miss. The resolution is likely to revolve around Congress' role in the Freedom movement and its strategy to counter the BJP and RSS.
While a viral fever kept Rahul Gandhi away, leaders including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived for the meeting as per schedule despite Congress' Ahmad Patel facing uncertainty in the Rajya Sabha elections.
Rahul Gandhi had visited flood-affected Gujarat where the stones were pelted at his car. The meeting has been called a day before the special sitting of the parliament to mark Quit India Day's anniversary. The Congress had launched the Quit India campaign in 1942 and the Congress Working Committee meeting was crucial to decide their strategy to attack the BJP that is pushing itself as the epitome of nationalism.
