Thrilled to share that Kuno National Park has welcomed three new members. The cubs have been born to Namibian Cheetah Aasha.
This is a roaring success for Project Cheetah, envisioned by PM Shri @narendramodi ji to restore ecological balance.

The minister extended his congratulations to the experts and officials involved in this project, hailing the event as "a resounding success for Project Cheetah, an initiative envisioned by PM Narendra Modi to restore ecological balance."
"My heartfelt congratulations to the dedicated experts, Kuno wildlife officials, and wildlife enthusiasts across India," remarked Yadav in the post.
Earlier, in March 2023, another translocated cheetah named Siyaya, later known as Jwala, had given birth to four cubs, but sadly, only one survived. Jwala, also brought from Namibia, is part of the initiative at Kuno National Park.
These births mark the first cheetah cubs born in India in more than seven decades, following the extinction of these magnificent cats in the country back in 1952.
