Three more arrested in RSS worker Sharath case in Karnataka

One of those arrested earlier is a PFI leader

The Mangaluru police have arrested three more people in connection with the murder of RSS worker Sharath Madivala. All three have been arrested on charges of aiding and sheltering main accused in the murder case.

The Mangaluru police arrested Riyaz Paranki, Sadiq Nelyadi and Khaleem alias Khaleemullah on Wednesday and produced them before a court on Thursday. Khaleem is a resident of Chamarajanagar and is said to be a friend of Khaleelullah, the main accused who is also the President of PFI's Chamarajanagar unit.

Fresh arrests were made on the basis of statements given by the main accused. The trio arrested on Wednesday are accused of providing shelter to the main accused. The police are yet to ascertain if the trio has any connections to the PFI and have not commented on the same.

The murder of RSS worker Sharath in July had led to massive protests and unrest in coastal districts of Karnataka. Stone pelting was witnessed in his funeral, a video of which has bee submitted to the court by the police. Sharath was stabbed multiple times by miscreants on July 4. He was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to injuries later.
