Sushma Swaraj's attire in Iran becomes buzz on Twitter
New Delhi, Apr 18: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's attire during her recent visit to Iran has become buzz on Twitter.
She went to Iran on Saturday on a two-day visit to boost ties with a focus on raising India's oil imports and enhancing trade with the powerful Persian Gulf nation which has opened several lucrative sectors after sanctions against it were lifted under a historic nuclear deal.
Swaraj's visit is seen as a balancing act by India as it came nearly two weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled to Saudi Arabia, another West Asian power which considers Iran its rival.

When Sushma meets Filipinas leaders will she talk wearing their national attire? Ask her to stop theatrics. looks silly.

@upma23 Just as NaMo declined to wear a Skull-Cap, Sushma-ji should've declined to wear Arab/Persian attire ! @sona2905

It's gracious for a guest to follow the decorum of the host. Criticism of @SushmaSwaraj's attire in Iran unwarranted.

As Iran rejoins world economy it must give up making our dignitaries dress like them. Why do we agree too? pic.twitter.com/929dOkVhjp
