Smriti Irani's new gift for Amethi: Insurance cover to 25,000 women
Amethi, Aug 12: Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani will pay an insurance cover of 25,000 women in Amethi, under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
As per an Indian Express report, Irani is scheduled to visit Amethi at the end of August, to distribute insurance certificates.
Irani has already learnt to have sent 25,000 PMSBY application forms to BJP's Amethi district leaders.
Amethi has five assembly segments and from each segment, 5,000 beneficiaries will be selected before Saturday, Aug 29.

In 2014, Irani had distributed over 15,000 saris among women from the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency as Diwali gift.
Irani had unsuccessfully contested the last Lok Sabha polls from Amethi. She lost to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
