Good days are coming for Amethi, says Smriti Irani

A former television actress, Irani is contesting against Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and AAP's Kumar Viswas in Amethi.
Follow the details of the interview here:
9:50 pm: About transforming Amethi into an industrial town
Providing employment to youth is one of my priorities, says Irani. BJP wishes to develop smart cities in Amethi, she says. There is lot of potential in the youth in Amethi and we will help them set up their own industries, she said. Earlier many industries had to be shut down in Amethi and nearby areas, thanks to the legislators who had no time for Amethi, she said, hitting out at Rahul Gandhi.
"Good days are coming for Amethi", she said, urging voters to choose leaders who is ready to work for them.
9:30 pm: All the three candidates in Amethi, Rahul, Irani and Viswas, are 'outsiders'. Irani was born in Delhi and she is registered as a voter in Gujarat. Here is what Irani says about her 'outsider' tag:
Irani: I would like to tell the voters that all this years they trusted a name 'Gandhi' and gave their votes to Rahul Gandhi. This time, trust the person who is ready to work for you.
There is absolutely no development works done in Amethi. There are no toilets or proper houses for people. There is no job for people. Rahul's career record is very unimpressive, Irani said, adding that Congress' hesitation to name him as PM candidate shows that even his party doesn't trust him.
9:20 pm: If you fail in the polls, will you come back to work for Amethi?
Smriti: I have done extensive work in Chandni Chowk and I have documents which prove that. Ms Vadra has been to Amethi for just 4 days in all this while.
9:10 pm: Women candidates in BJP are asked to contest from seats, where winning prospective is less. Is this a trap laid for women leaders?
Smriti: I am not trying to be a 'shaheed' or a 'giant killer'. I am trying to be a loyal party worker.
9:00 pm: "The Congress candidate goes around the country and speaks on the importance of education. But Amethi is deprived of the basic amenities", says Smriti, adding that Amethi will choose Modi government this time for a good governance.
