Safdarjung Hospital doctors go on indefinite strike, emergency services interrupted
The emergency services were also interrupted at the hospital due to the strike.
Resident doctors of Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital went on indefinite strike after a patient allegedly manhandled a resident doctor on Wednesday.
Dheer Singh, President of the Resident Doctors Association said, one of his colleagues was assaulted by a patient for delay in treatment.

''A patient assaulted a doctor alleging his treatment was being delayed by doctor. Such incidents aren't new to us,'' Singh said.
He said, ''Strike is indefinite and we have lodged institutional FIR. Our security should be increased to check such attacks.''
But, other patients were left witless due to the strike by Safdarjung hospital doctors.
''Have come here for delivery of my daughter-in-law. Strike is going on here (Safdarjung Hospital ), where do we go now?'' said Ramvati.
According to reports, the emergency services were also interrupted at the Safdarjung hospital due to the strike. Patients who were asked to return from the emergency gate by the security guards without being treated.
