Palanisamy government to seek vote of confidence on Feb 18
Chennai, Feb 16: Newly appointed Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu E Palanisamy will take a floor test on Saturday, February 18, the AIADMK said. A special session the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly will be held on Saturday.

Palanisamy who was sworn in earlier had told the Governor that he had the required numbers to form the Government. Based on his letters of support, the Governor had invited him to form the government. Palanisami was sworn in along with 30 ministers.
It is not clear if O Panneerselvam will also stake a claim to form the government ahead of the floor test. In case of a rival claim the Governor would go by the advise of the Attorney General who had suggested a composite floor test.
