NIA summons Salahuddin’s grandson in Kashmir terror funding probe
Following the arrest of Yousuf, the NIA has got information about the manner in which funds reached the Valley to fuel the unrest.
In protest against the probe by the National Investigation Agency, all family members of Syed Salahuddin will present themselves before the agency. The decision was made following a summons issued to the grandson of Salahuddin, chief of the Hizbul Mujahideen.

The NIA had recently arrested Shahid Yousuf in connection with the Kashmir terror funding probe. With more leads coming up about the involvement of Salahuddin's family, the NIA decided to summon his grandson.
The family members while calling it a ploy by the Centre has decided to present themselves for arrest before the Jammu and Kashmir police at Budgam.
Following the arrest of Yousuf, the NIA has got information about the manner in which funds reached the Valley to fuel the unrest. Yousuf who is employed with the J&K state government is alleged to have got funds through his Pakistani contact Aijaz Bhat. It was further revealed that he was getting funds at the behest of his father, Salahuddin, a globally proscribed terrorist.
It may be recalled that the Centre had recently appointed former Intelligence Bureau director, Dineshwar Sharma as an interlocutor to talk peace in Kashmir. The Centre says that all parties interested in restoring peace in the Valley would be involved in the process.
