NEET-UG 2024 Row: Supreme Court Says No For Retest, Did Not Find Enough Evidence To Prove NEET Paper Leak
NEET UG 2024: The Supreme Court bench comprising CJI DY Chandrachudand, Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra on Tuesday gave a big judgment related to the careers of lakhs of budding doctors. Hearing the plea to cancel the NEET UG exam 2024, the Apex court ruled out the possibility of a re-test underlining that there were no enough evidence to prove a systematic paper leak.
A bench led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud agreed to the fact of the paper leak, hours before its scheduled time, in Bihar and Jharkhand. But there were no enough evidence to prove a systematic leak of question paper which indicates a disruption of the sanctity of the exam.

According to the CBI findings, the court noted that around 155 candidates were benefitted due to the NEET Paper leak.
The court said, "The CBI investigation is incomplete, so we had asked the NTA to clarify whether the fraud was large-scale or not. The Centre and the NTA have cited the IIT Madras report in their reply."
In last four days, the bench heard submissions from various lawyers, including Solicitor General Tushar Mehta who was appearing for the Centre and the National Testing Agency (NTA), and senior advocates Narender Hooda, Sanjay Hegde and Mathews Nedumapra.
Meanwhile, aspiring doctors continue to protest across the nation against the NEET UG paper leak and demanded resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
