Kerala HC dismisses election petition against Shashi Tharoor
Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 21: The Kerala High Court has dismissed a petition challenging the election of Thiruvananthapuram Congress Lok Sabha member Shashi Tharoor, his office said.
A press release issued here on Saturday said a petition challenging his 2014 election filed by one Elias John had been dismissed after the court was satisfied with Tharoor's replies.

John in his petition said that during the election campaign, Tharoor had brought out a progress report of his achievements during his 2009-14 Lok Sabha term that had several false claims.
"Justice P. Bhavadasan after going through the replies that Tharoor had filed was convinced and hence dismissed the petition and has closed the case," the statement said.
