Kanwariya Yatra: 4 brothers from Haryana are modern day Shrawan Kumars
Hardiwar, Aug 7: In an extraordinary example of devotion towards, four brothers from Haryana's Palwal carried their parents on 'kanwar' from Hardiwar's Neelkanth to Panchkula's Mansa Devi. Now, they're on their way back.
Seeing their devotion towards parents, sector 28-29 of Faridabad honoured them with Lord Shiva idol as a gift. Their father Chandrapal (78) said that if everybody shows such feeling and respect towards their parents, society will change soon.

An example for others
Mahendar, one of the sons, said that they took this step to make people realize the importance of their parents. "These days children treat their parents very badly. We saw our neighbours misbehaving with their parents and then we decided to carry our parents on kanwar "kanwar to set an example for others," he said.
Chandrapal and Rupavati
Parents say, 'We don't have any problem like Shravan Kumar's parents, but wanted them to send a message to those who disrespect parents'. The four brothers took their father Chandrapal (78) and daughter Rupavati (66) to Haridwar on the shoulders.
