Ram Rahim verdict: Journalist who exposed rapes at Dera killed, son awaits justice
Anshul had petitioned the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking a probe into the murder of his father.
For the son of Ram Chander Chhatrapati, today is judgment day. His father who had exposed the alleged rape of sadhvis at the Dera was shot from point blank range at his residence on October 24 2002.

Today the court will deliver a crucial verdict against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in an alleged rape case.
Ram Chander was shot dead in 2002, a few months after the newspaper published an anonymous letter narrating how women at the Dera were allegedly harassed sexually.
The same CBI court which deliver the verdict is also hearing the case relating to the murder. Ram Chander's son, Anshul has been making the rounds of the court for several years now. The current of the status of the case is that the evidence presentation has concluded.
Anshul had petitioned the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking a probe into the murder of his father. The legal battle for Anshul began when the police did not include the Dera chief's name in the FIR. His father had battled for life for 28 years before breathing his last.
