Jaguar crashes in Allahabad, pilots eject safely
New Delhi, June 16: An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar trainer aircraft crashed today, near Allahabad.
An IAF Spokesperson confirmed that the Jaguar took off at 7:25 am from Allahabad and crashed 13 km South-East of Allahabad.
The
aircraft
was
on
a
training
sortie.
Both
the
pilots
have
ejected
safely
at
about
8:47
am.
A
Court
of
Inquiry
has
been
ordered
to
investigate
into
the
cause
of
the
accident.
This is the 2nd IAF Jaguar crash of the year and 5th combat aircraft crash overall. Minutes after the crash new was out, social media is already flooded with comments pointing towards poor maintenance.
