Nine deaths of children were reported on August 19 from the BRD Medical College.
Seven more children have died in Gorakhpur's BRD hospital due to Encephalitis in the last 48 hours, said reports.

Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh has become the epicenter of politics post the death of more than a 100 children at the Baba Raghav Das Medical College and Hospital allegedly due to Encephalitis and lack of supply of oxygen in recent times.
Nine more deaths of children were reported on August 19 from the BRD Medical College. The death toll reported since the August 10 tragedy is now at 105, as of August 19. Among these nine deaths, five were reported from the neonatal ward, two from encephalitis ward and two from the general pediatric ward.
Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had last week dubbed the tragedy as a 'government made tragedy'. Rahul said the government must take action against the deaths and not try to cover it up.
