Fighting lost battle with cancer? Doctors stop chemotherapy on Aadesh Shrivastava

Mumbai, Sept 3: As Bollywood's renowned music composer and singer Aadesh Shrivastava is battling cancer at the terminal phase, his shattered family is now pinning hopes on a Tibetan monk to cure him.

According to the latest reports, doctors have stopped chemotherapy on the critically ill music composer.

Who is Dr Yeshi Dhonden?

Dr Yeshi Dhonden, who is based in Mcleod Ganj, Dharamsala in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, is known for his prowess in curing cancer and AIDS patients.

He has treated thousands of cancer patients from all over the world, including women with breast cancer. He uses Tibetan herbal medicines and diet for curing cancer.

He is a personal physician of Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama from last 20 years.

He is supposed to reach Mumbai within two days to treat Aadesh, who is currently on dialysis.

Aadesh, who is in a critical condition, is undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital, since over a month, where doctors are trying their best to cure him.

In 2010, Aadesh was diagnosed with cancer, but he had successfully recovered from it after undergoing chemotherapy sessions.

In 2011, Aadesh had to reportedly sold his favourite car, a Hummer, to pay for hefty medical bills.

48-year-old Aadesh has composed music for over 100 Bollywood films and has rendered many hit songs.

Meanwhile, Bollywood fraternity and many of his fans are praying for his speedy recovery.

Yesterday (Sept 2), Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan went to meet Aadesh to know about his condition.

"I can't describe what I am going through. I don't know how I am coping. Our two sons Anivesh and Avitesh are keeping me from crumbling under pressure. My family (brothers composers Jatin and Lalit Pandit) are also a great support", Vijayta Pandit wrote on Facebook.
